The compatibility engine compares plug standards from the origin country against the socket types used at the destination. Each plug type has a defined list of compatible sockets (for example, Type C fits into several European sockets). The tool:
The plug, voltage and frequency data is maintained manually based on official IEC standards and verified travel sources. We currently cover 180+ countries. Data is updated regularly, but we recommend double-checking local requirements for unusual destinations or recent standard changes.
